The LPH T-harness allows you to install aftermarket amplifiers without modifying the factory harness. The LPH T-Harness is intended for use with a line output converter (LOC), but can also be connected directly to an aftermarket amplifier if it accepts a high-level signal. It is important to verify that the vehicle is not equipped with a factory-installed amplifier.
Installing a subwoofer amplifier:
For this tutorial, we will be using the Audio Control LC2i PRO.
-
Unplug the connector with the Green and Purple wires.
Note: For this tutorial, rear speakers (green & purple) are used. Some vehicles' rear speakers are high-pass filtered and lack bass. Before installation, check which speakers have the most bass and use those for the best results. If the front speakers (gray & white) have more bass, use those instead.
- Connect the harness labeled Signal To Amp (SUB-T) to both the female and male connectors on the LPH T-Harness.
- The red and blue wires will connect to the input on the LC2i PRO labeled Speaker Inputs.

- Connect the 3-pin harness labeled Power Extension.
- Connect the Black wire to the ground terminal on the LC2i PRO.
- Connect the Yellow wire to the 12V battery terminal on the LC2i PRO.
- Tape off and disregard the Red wire.

Installing a 4-channel amplifier:
For this tutorial, we will be using the Audio Control LC5i PRO. The LC5i PRO is perfect for this application because it accepts 4 channels of input and has load resistors built-in which many vehicles require.
Tip: Use the LPHEXT17 extension harness for easy installation. It offers 17' of wire for the LOC and amplifier, with connectors that plug into the LPH harness.
Front Channels
- Unplug the connector with the Gray and White wires.
From Radio
- Connect the 4-pin male harness labeled Front Signal To Amp to the LPH T-Harness.
- The loose wires will connect to the inputs on the LC5i PRO labeled Channel 1 inputs. This input is designated as a front input.-
