For manual transmission vehicles, cut the reverse trigger wire when installing the RP4-CH11 module or SR-JK11H kits due to Jeep's reverse circuit design.
- Plug-and-Play kits applications: With these setups, you need to modify the radio harness by cutting the Purple/White wire from the main connector. After cutting this wire, make sure to securely tape off the end of the wire coming from the RP4-CH11 module to prevent electrical shorts. The Stinger IE268 radio is shown in the example picture. - Non-Plug-and-Play applications: With non-plug-and-play setups, the Green reverse wire must not be used.
- For both plug-and-play and non-plug-and-play setups, connect the radio's reverse wire directly to the vehicle's reverse light wire if a backup camera is installed. For Stinger radios, use the Purple/White wire. This ensures the backup camera activates when the vehicle is in reverse.
