Before you contact us
To help us find an answer faster, have the following ready when you call or email:
- Product: The name or part number of the Stinger product, such as the Horizon10 radio.
- Vehicle: The year, make, model and trim level of the vehicle.
- Firmware version: The firmware version of the radio or product, if it has one.
- Order information: For order questions, your order number and the email address used for the order.
- Description of the problem: What is happening, when it started and what you have already tried.
- Access to the vehicle: If you call tech support, be at the vehicle if you can. A technician may ask you to run some tests while you are on the phone.
Warranty eligibility
Before you request a warranty exchange, check that your product qualifies:
- Authorized sellers only: The warranty covers only products bought from an authorized dealer, installer or seller, such as Stinger or Amazon. Products bought on eBay are not covered, because eBay is not an authorized seller.
- Check the seller, not the listing: A product listed under the Stinger store can still be sold by a third-party seller that is not authorized. Check who the seller is on your order.
- Amazon return period: If you bought the product on Amazon and it is still within Amazon's return period, exchange it through Amazon.
- Clearance and discontinued products: Clearance items and products that have been discontinued for a long time are not covered.
Request a warranty exchange
If you think a product is defective, follow these steps. This applies even if you bought the product from a dealer:
- Contact tech support: Many problems can be solved over the phone or by email. If the product needs to be exchanged, tech support will give you a tech support ticket number for the warranty form once they deem the product defective.
-
Choose where to get your exchange: After tech support confirms the product is defective, choose one of the following:
- Your dealer: If you bought the product from an authorized dealer or installer, you can go back to them for the exchange. Give them your tech support ticket number.
- Our online form: Fill out the warranty exchange request form (opens in a new tab) and enter your tech support ticket number. The warranty policy is on the form.
Request a refund or return
To return a product for a refund, fill out the refund request form (opens in a new tab). The return and refund policy is on the form.
Important notes
- Order changes: Only customer support can cancel or change an order. Tech support cannot change orders or check warranty status or inventory.
- Tech support ticket number: Your dealer and the warranty exchange form both require a tech support ticket number. Tech support gives you this number only after a technician confirms the product is defective. Contact tech support and troubleshoot the product before you go to your dealer or submit the form.
