This article contains the latest firmware for the Heigh10 radio. This firmware is only for the Heigh10 "X" version radios.
Radio Verification
A Heigh10 X version can be verified in two different ways:
-
Method 1: If Skytraq (circled in red) is shown in the System Information screen, you have an “X” version.
settings / system settings / installer settings (0052) / system information
- Method 2: You can also verify the version by the revision number on the radio chassis. If it ends in X (circled in red), you have an “X” version.
Before You Begin: Preparing Your USB Drive
To ensure a successful update, your USB drive must meet these specifications:
- A name-brand USB 2.0 drive no larger than 32GB.
- The USB drive must be formatted to FAT32.
- No files should be on the USB drive aside from the firmware.

Troubleshooting
If the radio doesn't detect the USB drive, follow these steps to fix it.
- Make sure the firmware is zipped. Certain web browsers such as Chrome and Safari will unzip the firmware file. Either disable the auto-unzip feature or use a different web browser.
- The firmware file name should match what the radio is looking for. As of this writing, the latest firmware file name is "swupdate_6229_iX210_07-09-2026_With_PAC_APK_V15". If you only see a zip file labeled "update", that means you or your web browser unzipped the firmware file.
- Only 1 file should be on the USB drive, and it should be in the root folder, i.e., no subfolders.
- If all else fails, try a different USB drive. It may be corrupt or incompatible with the radio.
- For MAC users: If all else fails, try a Windows PC instead.
