IE268 Firmware Update and Tutorial

This article provides the latest IE 268 radio firmware and update instructions.

1. Download the latest firmware at the bottom of the page.
2. Unzip the firmware file, then go into the sub-folder to find the 3 firmware files.
3. Format a USB drive to FAT32.

Note: The USB drive must be a name-brand USB drive, no larger than 32GB, and USB 2.0.

4. Copy and paste the 3 firmware files onto the USB drive. The USB should look like the picture in Figure 1.
5. Turn on the radio, then insert the USB drive into the radio's USB port.

Note: Depending on the installation kit used, the USB port may be externally mounted on the dashboard. If not, the USB port will be in the back of the radio.

6. On the radio, navigate to Settings / Installer / Update Firmware to initiate the firmware update. The Installer settings icon is the icon with a wrench & screwdriver.
7. After the update is complete, navigate to Settings / Installer / Factory Reset to perform a factory reset.
8. After the update and reset, test the radio to make sure everything is working correctly.
