IE268 Firmware Update and Tutorial

This article contains the latest firmware for the IE 268 radio, and also the steps to perform the update.

1. Download the latest firmware below.
2. Unzip the firmware file.
3. Format a USB drive to FAT32.
   • Note: The USB drive must be a name-brand USB drive, no larger than 32GB, and USB 2.0.
4. Copy and paste the unzipped firmware file from your Downloads folder onto the USB drive.
5. Turn on the radio, then insert the USB drive into the radio's USB port.
   • Note: Depending on the installation kit used, the USB port may be externally mounted on the dashboard. If not, the USB port will be in the back of the radio.
6. The radio should prompt you that there's a firmware update available. Select OK to proceed.
   • If the prompt doesn't appear, navigate to Settings / Installer / Update Firmware to initiate the firmware update.
7. After the update is complete, navigate to Settings / Installer / Factory Reset to perform a factory reset.
8. After the update and reset, test the radio to make sure everything is working correctly.
