If you are experiencing difficulties configuring and using the dashcam, please follow these troubleshooting steps.
Applicable part numbers: SDC-2CHFHD, SDC-2CH2KQHD
- Is the dashcam powered on? The dashcam assistant should announce Continuous recording will now start. There will also be a Red status light. If it doesn’t come on;
- Is the vehicle running?
- Is the power jack plugged in, and seated in all the way?
- Does the dashcam restart after the message Continuous recording will now start?

- Does the dashcam announce Continuous recording will now start and then Memory Card Full?
- You must periodically format the card to delete permanent files.
- If you experience this often, you may have too sensitive settings. Refer to Recording Settings. Of particular interest are Impact Sensitivity in Continuous Mode and Impact Sensitivity in Parking Mode. If the settings are as you have preferred, you may need to upgrade the Micro-SD card to 128GB.
- Cannot connect to Wi-Fi (AP mode).
- Is the Wi-Fi light flashing Blue or Green? If flashing blue, press the Wi-Fi button to change to flashing green.
- Are you connected to Opsis in your phone’s Wi-Fi settings?
- Force stop the Opsis app, then reopen it. If you are unsure how, search online for instructions for your phone. This simple process solves many Wi-Fi connection issues.
- Is your phone connected to another Wi-Fi device? If your radio uses wireless Android Auto or CarPlay, temporarily disable that connection. The same goes if your vehicle has a Wi-Fi hotspot.
- Once the Wi-Fi connection is established, the Wi-Fi light should be solid Green, and the dashcam will be highlighted in yellow within the app. Once you click the dashcam in the app, it will display Connected.
- Cannot connect to hotspot.
- Is the hotspot configured in the app? You must be connected via Wi-Fi (AP mode) to configure the hotspot.
- Is the Wi-Fi name recognizable to the dashcam?
- The Wi-Fi name and password must be one word. If more than one word is preferred, an underscore must be placed between the words.
- Some characters are not allowed in Wi-Fi names and passwords. The following characters are not supported: #, %, &, +, =, |, ‘, “ or spaces.
