Stinger Radio Kits: Audio Settings Grayed Out

If the audio settings are grayed out, this means your vehicle is equipped with a factory amplifier.

Applicable radios: Heigh10, Heigh10+, Horizon10, Horizon12

Reasoning

• Most modern vehicles with factory amplifiers use CAN bus control and only provide a 2-channel audio signal from the radio. As a result, some sound settings are disabled to prevent issues with the factory amplifier.

Workaround

• Certain sound settings like the EQ can be adjusted, but settings that alter audio differently between front and rear speakers, such as time delay and crossovers, must be avoided. These settings can cause problems with the factory amplifier.

Configuration

• To change settings, you must temporarily disable the factory amp.
  1. Navigate to: Settings / Installer (top right tab) / PAC Advanced Settings / Integrated Audio Settings.

  2. Disable the Factory Amplifier Option.

     

  3. Once the settings have been changed, re-enable the Factory Amplifier option.
